WHAT DID THEY DO?

Come to the PGSPN Meeting on May 19, 2026, 8:45 a.m. and listen to distinguished and respected Elder Law attorneys explain what bills were passed and which ones were defeated that will affect the day to day lives of Maryland Senior Citizens and those who love and care for them.

PANEL:

KARREN POPE-ONWUKWE earned her BS, BA and JD degrees from the Universities of Maryland, Eastern Kentucky University, and Georgetown University School of Law. She is an attorney, specializing in Elder Law, and is the owner of her own firm. Karren was co-founder and president of the Elder Law Section of the Prince George’s County Bar Association

CHERYL CHAPMAN HENDERSON is founder and principal of the law firm of Cheryl Chapman Henderson, LLC., which serves Maryland and Washington, D.C. Her practice is client and value-centered, focusing on Estate Planning, Elder Planning, and Probate and Trust Administration. Cheryl has been in private practice for over 25 years

RON M. LANDSMAN graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. In 1983, after practicing law for the U. S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, he established one of the first elder law firms in the country. He is a founding member of NAELA, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and a current member of the NAELA Board of Directors.
