About our speaker: Michele Hallman has worked as a litigator and labor negotiator for the District of Columbia Government, and has worked as a Trust Attorney for Fortune 50 financial services companies such as Citicorp, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. In those positions within the Private Bank, she advised high net worth individuals with investable assets between $5 million to $70 million, and devised sophisticated tax mitigation strategies designed to preserve their generational wealth. Ms. Hallman also served as the Director of Compliance for Calvert Foundation, where she managed the investment regulatory compliance for Calvert Foundation’s Community Investment Note, as well as its’ taxable subsidiary, Community Investment Partners, a registered investment advisory firm.
Ms. Hallman graduated with honors from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana and is barred in Louisiana and the District of Columbia. She volunteers with the IRS administered Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) which offers free tax help to people who make $53,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
