About our speakers:
Rosemary Allender: Ms. Allender has a Master's degree in Social Work from The Catholic University of America, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Maryland and Washington, D.C. and NASW Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager. She is the Owner/Aging Life Care Manager of Family Eldercare Management.
Professional affiliations: Member of the Prince George's Senior Providers Network, Aging LifeCare™ Association, National Association of Social Workers, Alzheimer's Association of the National Capitol Area: 2011 Inspiring Champion, Support Group Leader and on their Speakers Bureau.
Karen Bryant: Ms. Bryant is currently a Professional Liaison Nurse for Hospice of the Chesapeake in Prince George’s County. She has more than 25 years of experience as a hospice nurse. Ms. Bryant has participated as an educator and certified trainer for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association’s clinical review course. She was a National Speaker in 2004 at the NCCHC conference, speaking on collaboration among detention centers for post-release patient access to palliative care. Ms. Bryant was co-author of a medical article in the 2005 California Journal of Health Promotion. In 1994, she was one of the first nurses in the Washington metropolitan area to become certified as a hospice nurse. Ms. Bryant is also an advocate for veterans and is on the Hospice Veterans Partnership committee.
