Featured Speaker: Jim Wylde, Co-author of Strategic Connections: The New Face of Networking in a Collaborative World

This session will provide the rules and tools for creating, cultivating, and capitalizing on networking relationships and opportunities in a variety of career, professional, and social settings. Participants will learn how to make more strategic use of networking time, develop mutually beneficial relationships, get more visible and move upward professionally, build collaborative relationships across the white space on the organization chart, promote initiatives and projects, and connect with people at conferences, meetings, and professional organizations. In this presentation, participants learn how to show the character and competence that makes people want to do work with them and get things done. 

Jim Wylde has 25+ years of experience in global career and leadership development, communication and diversity. Jim speaks frequently on networking and collaboration. For the past eight years he has been a Principal Consultant and Certified Trainer with Contacts Count, an international training and consulting firm, during which time he has worked with clients such as the Smithsonian Institution, Time Warner Cable, IREX Community Solutions Program, Hilton Worldwide and Georgetown University.

Jim’s background includes 16 years in leadership and project teamwork with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He has also served as a Diversity & Inclusion Consultant to the World Bank Group. He is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF).
